let's read more books~ (with correction)

Do you know that our Jusco Seberang Jaya has a library inside? It's a branch of Perpustakaan Pulau Pinang.

I remember our Perpustakaan was situated up hill nearby BM highschool and train station when i was small.. i used to follow 2chie to go there during weekend, sometimes with other sisters too. we took the Mara bus to the "hui chia tao" bus station (near BM train station) and we would walk across the overhead bridge and climbed up the hill. i remember i was so amased with the racks of books available.

When we were kids, 2chie always "forced" us to borrow english book (i've forgotten the title but the cartoon looks like maisy :p) and copy selected words into our exercise books, she would then had spelling sessions for us. (She is the first master in english amongst our sisters). The funniest memory of us studying together was 2chie was so upset with us and she had to tied us in the chair so that we couldnt run away :p if not mistaken, that was 3chie and lun chie being tied up, i've forgoten whether me and luan chie were also been tied up or not, hehehe..

[ok, after verifications with the person involved, the tied-up incident wasnt as elaborated above. It was 3chie tied lun chie, luan chie and me to the chairs :s

2chie comments: ya la, i wouldnt do that to my sisters la, so cruel, kekeke..
3chie explanations: that was almost the end of school holidays and 3 of us (the victims) still lenggang lenggang and didnt want to finish up the holiday home work. so she had to do that for our goods :p

hehe, i wonder why my brain cheat me like that, beautifies my memories by letting myself free from the chair and put 3chie in it, kekeke]

After that, the perpustakaan moved to the BM Post Office/ Malay Char Kuey Teow there. i remember the green building and the craking noise from the floor whenever i stepped on the teenage book sections.

After after that, they moved to (or just set up another library in) Seberang Jaya. I went there only few times, it's very big and crowded (good thing). however i do not like there as the "old book smells and wood smells" were no longer lingering in the air..

Well, due to my tight budget to spend on new books, i went to this library in Jusco last weekend. Its pretty small, but i think that will occupy me for a while before i have to visit the one in Seberang Jaya for more books.

Good thing is, the member fee is only RM2 per year and you can borrow 4 books + 1 magazine for 2 weeks at a time. to my surprise, they no longer have the "member card" but you can borrow books just by telling them your IC number after you registered(good for person who always lose their cards like me).

Already told the kids to get ready as i am going to kidnap them to library more often from now on, kekeke. i know they are happy to follow as they can always bargain for McD and Pizzas after that, hehe..

Yeah, lets go library and read more books together~
